We begin with an informal chat, this can include you, your HR team and your employee. We also aim to speak with your employee privately. If you are local to Salisbury (Wilts, Hants, Dorset), we can do this in-person, alternatively we can do this via video call.
We look at not only your employees diagnosis, but what daily struggles they may be experiencing at work. We talk about how they manage different elements of their job and how this impacts their health and wellbeing outside of work – are they left with cramp in their hands, severely fatigued, back or neck ache etc…
We like to take a look at this stage at the work environment of your team member, how their desk is set up, what chair they use etc.
Following this we make recommendations on how this can be managed, any software, hardware or adaptations and how this would be used. We have a further discussion and go through the pros and cons of these recommendations together to enable everyone involved to make an informed decision. This creates the basis for our report.
Our Assistive Technologist has gained experience mainly working with people who have had a Spinal Cord Injury, powered and manual wheelchair users and with varying degrees of upper limb function. Experience in other areas includes working with people with Autism and ADHD, Dyslexia, Developmental Coordination Disorder (Dyspraxia), Visual Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Connective Tissue Disorders and other widespread pain conditions.
Our service is open to all companies and their employees. There is no need for formal diagnosis or for their needs to be one of the above mentioned. we always begin with an informal discussion so we will be able to say quite quickly whether we will be the correct service for you, or whether signposting elsewhere would be more appropriate.
Please Note: This service is not inclusive within our IT Support Packages however clients on the Monitor and Protect Package will receive a 20% Discount to the consultancy rate.
